Taking a quick break from the interviews today to let you know about some of the things happening at IZEA.
1st of all as of yesterday there are only 100 days until IZEAFest 2009. I don’t even think that anyone at IZEA realized that till I tweeted it yesterday. Who from the I’m Not A Famous Blogger IZEA Insider Crew is going to attend? I’ll probably ask this again as we get closer because I have some special things planned for attendees.
I am also gearing up for a big contest to give away 3 tickets to IZEAFest 2009 (Disclosure: If you sign up to go through my links I receive affiliate compensation, it hasn’t happened yet even though I had the highest SERPS for IZEAFest for the longest time so I think the damn thing doesn’t even work right.) which I will announce here before I announce it on BenSpark.com because I want my Crew to have 1st crack at things. So if you are not already subscribed via e-mail or in a feed reader you need to get on that right away.
A big issue happening right now has to do with disclosure and the FTC. There was an AP article yesterday that I saw in the Cape Cod Times. By mid afternoon it was burning up twitter at an insane rate. Ted Murphy IZEA CEO responded to the issue on the IZEA blog. We are lucky to be a part of IZEA and SocialSpark because of the required disclosure. We’ve been doing things right all along. But there are still naysayers out there that are trying to tear down IZEA at every turn. They bring up the mistakes of the past in every single post.
What are your thoughts on the AP article and Ted’s post?

Love your countdown, Drew! Of course I did realize our event is just over three months away, but seeing “100 Days” really brought-it-home!
Sorry Ashley, I certainly did not mean to imply that you were unaware. I know that you live, eat, and breathe IZEAFest 2009. You are the man when it comes to that. I know you are gonna rock it like none of us will believe!
I would love to go to IZEAFest, but considering that the event is happening on the East Coast, I don't think I'll be attending.
