SocialSpark Major Update Today

There were actually two major updates today on SocialSpark. You can read about all the changes on the IZEA Blog but here are some of the highlights.

Ability to create/take CPC and CPA opps without a verified blog. Advertisers now have the option to create CPC and CPA campaigns for any blogger in the system, regardless of whether they have a blog that has been approved for marketplace participation. Any existing Opportunities segmented to “All Verified Blogs” will still require an approved blog for participation”

This one is pretty huge because there are many people who don’t want to use their blogs but would rather use twitter or facebook to make money. They now don’t need to wait for blog approval. And this is also good because many of the newer bloggers who have yet to get their blog to 90 days old can take opps and make a little money too.

There is a new size for ad units, I tried to find a CPC or CPA opp that had the new 500 X 375 size but couldn’t find it so instead I give you this one from SeaWorld because I think it is a great deal.

There are a lot of bug fixes including my favorite the ability to send messages from a user’s profile. That was broken for a few days and as a guy who messages each of his crew members, well the loss of that functionality was devastating. Thanks Jamie for fixing that.

Our Crew is now over 1000 bloggers strong. I need to ask more of you guys for interviews. Did you like them, want more. Please encourage each other to do the interview. If you are on SocialSpark and see another member of I’m Not A Famous Blogger, ask them to do the interview, if they haven’t heard of them ask them to query me and I’ll get them the questions. I have over 700 people left to ask. It is a slow process. Trying to do this faster and more efficiently.

Hey there Drew. I read through the whole book of updates and I think that the messaging and the ability to send a message through a profile are the best. It does seem that SocialSpark went through an overhaul but so far so good.

I'd like to see a few more improvements to the messaging system, you can't imagine how much time is wasted going back and forth while I welcome new crew members.

You've been able to use Twitter for a while for CPC Opportunities, but only if you also had an approved blog in the system. There are not currently any Opportunities created with the “Allow Everyone” option, but it's there for advertisers who want the biggest reach in the shortest amount of time. Keep an eye out; as soon as you see an open CPC Opportunity with a green light next to the “QUAL” indicator, you can take it!

You could before but not you don't need a verified blog.
